September has come around already and with it ...my Lust Have It subscription!
I had thought that the little satin bags they had been arriving in were done, but no! This months offering came in a beautiful silver bag! The more the merrier.
First up this month:
Dermalogica Multi Vitamin Power Recovery Masque rrp: $76.00 for 75ml
Card says: An ultra-replenishing antioxidant rich masque that helps rescue stressed, aging skin. Apply after cleansing as a revitalizing remedy for dulling, dry, dehydrated, lackluster, photodamaged skin.
Wow! That was a mouthful of descriptive words!! This product has a creamy consistency with a slightly citrus smell. Not a bad smell though. I'm looking forward to giving this a go!
To go along with the Dermalogica masque, I also received a "Free Facial Treatment" card.
This offer isn't available until the 3rd October 2012 and runs until 31st January 2013. You must purchase more Dermalogica products (to the value of $50) to be able to redeem this voucher and, its only at participating stockists. Pretty good value though! I'm hoping to be able to use mine.
Next up:
Davroe Smooth Senses Straightening Balm rrp: $22.50 for 200ml
Card says: A weightless anti-frizzing smoothing creme, ideal for temporary straightening and taming flyaways. Infused with Marsh Mellow Root and rice protein to create a smooth hold and super shine.
It claims to have a 'Wild Iris' scent to it - but I smell freshly blow dried hair at the salon!! Thats honestly what I smell!! It smells like a blowdry! Not surprising really, considering the product. Now, along with this product, there was another voucher:
This voucher I redeemed at the davroe website. I chose the Fibretex creme (rrp: $22.95). You only have to pay for shipping (which was around the $9.50 mark) and it was all safe through PayPal. Can't wait to get my other product!
Continuing!
Avene Cold Cream rrp: $35.00 for 400ml
Card says: Nourishing and softening with long lasting moisture on the skin after application. Suitable for all skin types. Hypoallergenic.
I probably won't use this product. I have quite oily skin, so heavy creams feel very heavy on my skin and seem to create a more slick look to my skin.
Mirenesse "Ace of Base" rrp: $35.00 for 4.5g
Card says: Amazing 3-in-1 anti-aging concealer. A unique super fine anti-aging concealer, eyeshadow base and line minimiser in one!
I tried this the day I received it and its not a bad product. I probably would go one or two shades darker, but it gave a nice illumination under the eyes. It didn't settle into my fine lines (aarrgg - yes, fine lines!) and it was light. I haven't tried it as an eyeshadow base yet. Packing is nice and it has a doe-foot applicator.
Lastly:
Say It With Scent - Green Tea rrp: $26.80 for 200ml
Card says: A non-greasy easily absorbed lotin enriched with Shea Butter and natural vitamin E. This lotion is plant based and contains no petro chemicals.
I really like this product too! Its definitly non-greasy and it does actually absorb into the skin easily. It smells lovely too!
The last coupon I received in my bag this months was:
This is redeemable on Facebook. Enter your details and off you go. Hope I was one of the first 1000 people!
So, there's another month gone. I was hoping for more 'makeup' products, as we seem to be getting quite a few 'body' items. I'm definitely keeping my subscription for the time being though - I just love getting a little present each month delivered to my door!!
Catch you later!

LustHaveIt - August
I just received my August subscription from LustHaveIt (it turns out the postal service in my new town is on the ball and so far, all deliveries have occured before 9am!)
Last month (I didn't make a post about it) was very disappointing in that most of the box was designed, it felt, for someone else. The Avene skincare was useless to me and the BabyFoot pouch is not recommended for Diabetics and so on. Oh well. Its always going to be a hit and miss I guess!
This month, Lust Have It have redeemed themselves in my eyes.
The packaging this month was very pretty. It reminded me of a gift from an upmarket department store! 'Luxury' comes to mind.
Its a nice selection of products, which I like too.
First up - tanGOTanning Glove - full size
The card says "The tanGO tan removal glove acts like elastic, gently pulling the tanning pigment away from the skin without the use of harsh exfoliants or chemicals. Also doubles up as a great makeup remover just add water".
RRP: $29.95
I will give it a go for makeup removal, as I don't use fake tanners at all. Its an interesting concept!
BedHead - Glaze Haze Smoothing Serum - sample size
Card says: "This semi-swet smoothing hair serum woks to smooth the hair cuticle and fight humidity. Lightweight, Candy Fixations Glaze Haze Smoothing Serum reduces drying time and adds a high shine to any hair type".
RRP: $25.95 50ml
Well, this couldn't have come at a better time! I have just moved to North Queensland! We will be experiencing the 'wet' season very soon where humidity will be at its highest and it will be absolute hell on my hair! This also smells like a lolly shop! Lovely.
Marc Jacobs: DOT Fragrance - sample size
Card says: "DOT by Marc Jacobs the new lush floral fragrance captures a charming and upbeat spirit with timeless sophistication. Fluttering sweet and fruity topnotes of red berries that descend through a trail of jasmine and orange blossom, landing on a base of vanilla and musk".
RRP: $160.00 100ml
I'm not normally a fan of MJ scents. But, I do like this one. When you first spritz it onto the skin - its fresh scent hits you. I think it will be perfect for summer.
Pure Fiji Exotic Bath and Body Oil - Orange Blossom - sample size
Card says: Nourishing blend of exotic nut extracts that will rapidly hydrate and condition your skin. A balance blend of cold pressed Virgin Coconut, Macadamia, Sikeci and Dilo nut oils form a uniue bio-network that promotes cellular renewal for younger looking skin and protection from environmental elements".
RRP: $34.95 236ml
I'm very keen to try this. My legs get very dry, but then I also have a problem with ingrown hairs after shaving etc. This sounds like it will soften and moisturise the skin making it smooth and lovely.
Shiseido Lipstick - Perfect Rouge RS612 ('Gilded Wine') sample size
Card says: "A new formula that provides true intense colour with all day hydration. This ultra-smoothing formula blends effortlessly for a luxurious finish".
RRP: $43.00 4.5g
I tried this colour on and its super pretty! It can be sheared out on the lips and it still looks lovely. It would be very pretty with a lipgloss over the top to either accentuate the colour of the lipstick, or maybe a pop of shine just in the middle of the lip.
Wet n Wild: Nail Polish - full size
Card says: "A composition rich in colour: intense elegance, light pastel colours and tones. Enjoy the benefits of these enamels from the first application of colour. Ultra uniform coating with no trace of imperfection".
RRP: $14.95
This nail polish is really pretty. Pefect for summery tootsies! I will be putting a proper application on today (not just the couple of swipes on my nail that I did this morning!).
So, I'm happy with LHI Augusts Subscription. I will use EVERYTHING in this box with enthusiasm. I may post a follow-up blog on my thoughts and some swatches.
Thanks for reading!

ILoveThisBox - how disappointing.
Well, after only about 6 months or so, they closed down 'IloveThisBox' subscription service. They wouldn't offically go into detail about why or anything, but it seems there are a few out there also closing down.
I have now signed up for 'LustHaveIt'. It was on a YouTube'rs channel as her top rated subscripton box and I have to admit - its pretty good!
My next one is due this week sometime. Which works out well, since I am moving in between monthly deliveries and my August one will be delivered to my new address! Yay!
Last months box contained a glitter liner, 24ct gold eye and face masks and a few other goodies. I am having so much fun getting this little present to myself each month. I will definitely continue getting this service.
I will do a review of my next box after I have browsed through all the latest goodies!!

I Love This Box - April
Oh my gosh. This months 'ILoveThisBox' is beautiful! Loving that cute Easter themed packaging. I also recieved two small Easter egss with mine this month - Red Tulip chockies - yummo!!
So, the first item to catch my eye was, of course, the largest. Its the 'Avado' Sensitives Organic Gel Exfoliant. This product contains a heap of natural oils and some avocado oil. It smells amazing. The combination of the oils is refreshing and not overpowering at all. This retails for $14.99 and is a full sized product.
Next, the Chikii Natural Salon Quality Mineral Cosmetcs - "Embrace" Mineral Blush. Also a full sized product (glad I have a couple of 10g makeup jars sitting around so I can depot!). Retails for $40.00 (omg!). This blush is super pigmented and, super cute! Its a lovely dusty/pinky/mauve colour (if that makes any sense at all!) and has glitter in it too. I'm not normally a fan of glitter, but I will give this a go. It could maybe be used as an eyeshadow too. Being a mineral product, it shouldn't be a prob!
Shanga - Mineral Eyehsadow. I recieved the colour 'Orchid'. Its a lovely dark mushroom colour, slightly hard to describe, but extremely wearable. The claim is that its infused with 'anti-aging' minerals - but honestly, I don't think I'd use it as often as required to see any kind of result! Beautiful in the crease or as an 'all-over, by-itself' product. Its another full sized product and retails for $24.95
The Maybelline - Colour Sensational Lipcolour. The colour I received is #645 Red Revival and all I can say is WOW!!! I would call it a Cherry Red. I have never in my life worn a red lipcolour. My husband encouraged me to try this on and I was pleasantly surprised. I think if I were to go out or want to do a 'pin-up' look, this would be the colour for it! Its incredibly creamy. This lipstick glides on your lips like a lipbalm, its that smooth. Maybe I should wear it around a bit to get used to the colour??
This lipcolour retails for $16.95
Last but, certainly not least, is the Just D'Lish - Gift Wrap Soap. Mine is Sage & Pomegranate. The packaging on this soap is super adorable. A lovely green textured paper that looks handmade also, and a slip with the product details on it. It contains various oils and also Shea Nut. I'm keen to try this one out when I relax in a bath next!
So. This months Box has impressed me as much as they all have. From the cute packaging, to the amazing products - its money well spent. For my $14.95 subscripton this month, I have recieved $101.89 worth of beautiful, sparkly, aromatic, creamy, pigmeted gifts! Thank you ILoveThisBox!!!! Looking forward to next month, and the month after that, and the month after that... !!
PS!!! I forgot to mention the dividers that came with this months box aswell! In the spirit of being a mainly organic, 'getting back to nature' theme, this months box also comes with cardboard strips to turn your box into a jewellery box, makeup organiser etc. Very clever if you ask me. I have used a couple of the lids from previous boxes to corral eyeliner pencils and other tubular type items together in my makeup storage drawers, so I can see the benefit of being able to re-use these wonderfully strong little boxes!
That is all. ;o)

The Search for the Perfect Mobile Phone and me.
I'm on the hunt for a new mobile phone. Where the heck do I start? I really don't see the point in spending a heap of money on what is basically a "throw away" element of my life. I've had so many mobiles since I was 21 (about 6 different ones so far), and none of them have been something I desperately needed to hold onto!
So far, I've narrowed it down to a few. But, the features, specifications, megapixels...??? huh? Why do I need all of these functions? Basically, I want it to be able to make/receive phone calls and replace the diary I lug around in my handbag, just to streamline things a little (and to stop this aching pain I have in my shoulder from hauling that Tardis around everyday!!). Where to next??
